Assertiveness and Confidence Building Course

Assertiveness is a collection of behaviours that stem from a belief that the participant’s needs or wants are as important as other people.

The assertiveness course will help the participant to develop competence in using assertiveness skills to communicate, negotiate and persuade.

The assertiveness course will aid the participant’s understanding of different types of behaviours, elements of assertive behaviour, techniques, and the thinking, feeling, and behaviour that fosters assertiveness. 

Course Aim

This one-day training will provide the participant with insight, techniques, and skills to project self-confidence in thinking, feeling and behaviour and make an outstanding personal and professional impact.

At the end of the one-day training, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe barriers to assertiveness
  • Explain the features of confident and assertive behaviour
  • Demonstrate the thinking and feeling of assertiveness
